History of the Company
Intelligence, Communications, and Engineering began operations on 2 January, 2007 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. However, its core values were established in 1972 when Ed Molina enlisted in the United States Army. The other partners, David Olson and Melvin Albert, and lastly Danny Avant, joined the Army in 1973 and 1974 respectively. The partners came from divergent backgrounds and circumstances. However, each found his own calling in the Army. Ed, Danny, and Mel became Intelligence Analysts. Collectively they served at every echelon - Infantry Battalion to Theater Headquarters - providing intelligence support to Infantry, Armor, Airborne and Special Operations units as well as The United States Army Intelligence Center and School (USAICS). Danny Avant retired as a Command Sergeant Major, Ed Molina and Mel Albert are retired Chief Warrant Officer Fours. Dave Olson retired as a First Sergeant. Dave served most of his career as a tactical communications specialist in various combat arms units. His last assignment was as the US Forces Somalia J6 Sergeant Major.
After retirement, Ed, Dave and Danny worked for several defense contractors where they quickly advanced to senior management positions. Mel taught high school and at the United States Army Intelligence Center and School. He then moved to the Intelligence Electronic Warfare Test Directorate serving as an Operational Test Officer and Modeling and Simulations analyst.
